Greetings Adventurers,
Welcome to the first official devlog for Eldoria: Warlords of the Wasteland. It’s been an exciting start, and we’re happy to pull back the curtain on what we’ve been building behind the scenes.
Here’s where the project currently stands:
Core movement is up and running! Characters now traverse terrain smoothly with grounded animations and momentum that feel responsive and fluid. This is our base layer for combat, exploration, and interactions.
We’ve made solid progress on menus, HUD, tooltips, and system prompts. Our focus is clarity, minimalism, and immersiveness — all styled to match the world’s grim-fantasy tone. Inventory and dialogue UIs are next.
The map of Eldoria has officially been chosen, sculpted, and sectioned. And yes—it’s massive.
📏 We ran the math: if you were to walk across Eldoria from one side to the other without stopping, it would take you over 250 in-game days. That’s how expansive and rich the world is going to be.
But don’t worry—this scale won’t come at the cost of performance. We’re using World Partitioning and Level Streaming to dynamically load only what’s needed as you explore. This keeps things seamless and dramatically reduces lag and loading times.
This means:
Huge world, no loading screens
Improved performance on a wide range of PCs
A smoother, more immersive journey across ruined kingdoms and hostile frontiers
We’ve begun populating the world with early environment assets, including:
Foliage systems to bring life to forests, ruins, and wastelands
Ore deposits and natural resources for crafting systems
Ruined castles, ancient roads, and lore-based landmarks
The groundwork for NPC behaviors and placement
Core diplomacy mechanics and faction planning are in early stages
Our focus for the next phase includes:
Finalizing UI elements and menus
Setting up first-pass questing and dialogue with NPCs
Laying groundwork for PvE and exploration systems
Preparing for internal playtests and eventual Alpha in December 2025
Every week we push Eldoria further toward becoming a living, breathing world—and we couldn’t do it without your support. Whether you’re a backer, fan, or future adventurer, thank you for being part of this journey.

Until next time,
